I am delighted to share that my article written with Giovanni Colavizza has now
been published in Archives and Records:

The article builds on the AI Preparedness Guidelines for Archivists, developed
through the ARA-funded FLAME project: AI For Libraries, Archives and Museums.

These guidelines were created to support the Galleries, Libraries, Archives and
Museums sector in preparing collections for the responsible use of AI.

As conversations about AI continue to grow across archives and record-keeping
services, the article discusses how archives can:

prepare for Artificial Intelligence 
improve discoverability
enhance access

Key message: AI-readiness is not simply a matter of applying new technology to
archival collections. It requires careful preparation so that AI can support
archival work without weakening the principles that give records their value and
authority, including provenance, appraisal, authenticity, reliability, and
trustworthiness.

I hope the article will be of interest to colleagues working across archives,
records management, GLAM, digital preservation, information governance, and
digital humanities.
