EuroMed2024 the 10th Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Digital Heritage

2nd - 4th  of December 2024 - Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol

The UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage is pleased to formally announce
the 10th biannual International Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Digital
Heritage (EuroMed2024<https://euromed2024.eu>) will be held between the 2nd and
4th of December 2024 at the Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol, Cyprus.

This key conference on Cultural Heritage will bring together researchers,
policymakers, professionals and practitioners from the multidisciplinary CH
domains to discuss the challenges and successes facing CH today. EuroMed2024
focuses on the interdisciplinary and intersectorial research on CH and use of
cutting-edge technologies for the protection, restoration, preservation, mass
digitalisation, documentation and presentation of CH content. The conference
provides a forum to explore new CH research, novel sustainable approaches and
technological advances ready for exploitation by user communities, SMEs, owners,
managers and conservators of cultural patrimony.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite scholars and researchers from the academy and professionals working
across the diverse spectrum of CH activities to submit papers under the
following topic headings:



I.                 Artificial Intelligence in Cultural Heritage

II.               Contribution to the Protection, Conservation, Restoration, &
Preservation (PCRP) of Cultural Heritage

III.              Cross Realities (AR/MR/XR/VR) and Virtual World Development
and Use for Cultural Heritage

IV.             Data Acquisition and Processing (including Paradata and
Metadata)

V.              Data Modelling, Analysis, Knowledge Management & Visualisation

VI.             Digital Approaches to Documentation, Dissemination and
Exploitation of CH Results

VII.             e-Infrastructures, Sustainability & Long-Term Preservation for
Digital Cultural Heritage

Submissions

We welcome two types of papers for inclusion into the conference programme:

Project Papers

Authors present new innovative research developments and results. They will
feature a 15-minute full-length oral presentation and will be published in a
high-quality Springer-Nature proceedings volume. Each submitted paper must not
exceed 12 pages in total.

Short Papers/Posters

Authors of accepted Short Papers/Posters will have the opportunity to give short
presentation  to outline preliminary research and work in progress.
Additionally, authors are required to prepare a A0-poster for display during the
conference in support of their work. The short papers will be published also by
Springer-Nature.

Submissions for the event are completely electronic through on-line submission
via the EuroMed2024 website Paper Submission<https://euromed2024.eu/paper-
submission> page website and must be submitted by midnight  CET on Saturday the
20th July 2024.

The conference accepts only original, unpublished work written in English which
will be blind-reviewed and published by the prestigious SPRINGER-NATURE
LNCS<https://link.springer.com/conference/euromed>.
