Humanist Discussion Group, Vol. 38, No. 409. Department of Digital Humanities, University of Cologne Hosted by DH-Cologne www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2025-03-17 20:10:33+00:00 From: Mark Nesbitt <m.nesbitt@KEW.ORG> Subject: Research post at Kew Gardens Dear friends and colleagues We welcome applications for the post of Kew Research Fellow (Enhanced Partnerships): https://careers.kew.org/vacancy/kew-research-fellow-enhanced-partnerships-582440.html Closes 20 April 2025 This is a four-year post open to UK and international applicants. Although the wording of the advertisement is standard text emphasising science, in this instance the post is aimed at researchers from any discipline. Research interests within the Enhanced Partnerships department centre on plant-people relations, blending methods from the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Many projects take a historical perspective. There is an emphasis on relevance to current day issues such as policy, a degree of fit with the priorities set out in Kew’s Science Strategy and Manifesto for Change, and on research that is based on close engagement with collections, archives, fieldwork etc rather than mainly theoretical approaches.
