        Subject: CFP deadline extented: Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Humanities

Dear colleagues,

IJHAC: A Journal of Digital Humanities extended the deadline for
submissions for the special issue on Artificial Intelligence and the
Digital Humanities until February 15th.

This special issue is guest-edited by Javier Cha (University of Hong Kong)
and Miguel Escobar Varela (National University of Singapore) and aims to
explore how recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) unlock new
insights and/or automate routine data processing tasks in the humanities.

We particularly seek contributions that demonstrate the potential of
innovative AI applications, such as transformer-based large language models
(LLMs), computer vision, text-to-image generators, multimodal AI, and
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The submissions should illustrate how
the integration of these technologies enhances scholarship in the digital
humanities, including the discovery, classification, extraction,
interpretation, and preservation of arts, humanities and cultural heritage
data at scale.
