Department of Digital Humanities, University of Cologne Hosted by DH-Cologne www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2024-10-07 15:42:57+00:00 From: Roberto Rosselli Del Turco <roberto.rossellidelturco@fileli.unipi.it> Subject: EVT 3 beta released! Dear all, after a long development phase we very happy to release EVT 3 beta! This is a continuation of the work done after we switched from AngularJS to Angular, refining many of the available features (diplomatic and critical editions, in particular), adding a few improvements (e.g. the bookreader view for digital facsimiles) and introducing a couple of completely new features which we think will be particularly appreciated: • initial support for an image-image view: at the moment this is limited to the images linked through the <pb/> elements in the TEI text, but it will be expanded to include reference to other images in a digital <facsimile>, so that you can compare different manuscript scans, or alternative <graphic> elements in the main <facsimile>, so that you can compare different versions of the same image; • a completely new genetic criticism/authorial philology edition view! This has to be refined, too, but it is already useful to start experimenting with the TEI markup for genetic editions, have a look at the Saba sample edition to see how it works!
