        Subject: IGEL 2025 conference CfP

Dear fellow researchers,

I am writing to announce the 2025 conference of the International Society
for the Empirical Study of Literature (IGEL). The broad theme is "*Creativity,
Story Experience, and Reflection*." Submission deadline is 1 December 2024.

The focus is on empirical methods applied to the study of literature and
narrative in other media. Works presented apply experimental, quantitative
or *computational* methods. An archive of video presentations can be found

The conference will be held from June 5 to 7, 2025, at Huston-Tillotson
University (USA), a historic institution near downtown, Austin, Texas. The
university is a 5-minute walk to a vibrant part of the city.

Notes on submissions: No full paper required (long/extended abstracts are
accepted), and scholars are encouraged to propose symposia/panels (i.e., 3
to 4 paper proposals on the same theme).

I hope you and/or your graduate students would consider submitting to this
conference. Conference registration fees are reduced for students and PhDs.
