        Subject: Digital History Switzerland 2024 Conference in Basel 12.09-13.09

Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite scholars, researchers and professionals of all levels of
experience to  participate in the Digital History Switzerland
2024 <https://conferences.unibas.ch/frontend/index.php?folder_id=232&page_id=>,
the first national Swiss conference on digital history, that will be held
September 12–13, 2024 at the University of Basel.

Entitled «Historical Research, Digital Literacy and Algorithmic Criticism 
<https://conferences.unibas.ch/frontend/index.php?folder_id=232&page_id=>», 
the event provides a platform for scholars, researchers and professionals at any 
career stage to discuss challenges, experiences and best practices related to 
the study of the past in the digital age. It aims to promote digital literacy, raise
awareness of the use of algorithms and AI systems, develop strategies for
dealing with digital sources, encourage shared formats and methodologies, and
facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices for collaborative
historical research. The conference will also showcase projects and research in
the field of digital history.
