This summer school addresses MA students and doctoral candidates from Linguistics and Digital Humanities, as well as other fields that are involved with the application of machine learning techniques. Annemarie Friedrich (Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence) will kick off the summer school with a keynote talk about „Extracting Knowledge from Scientific Text". Participants can choose between two alternative workshop tracks: - Deep Learning with Audio & Speech Data, given by Paul Wallbott - Text Analysis with Deep Learning, given by Albin Zehe (University of Würzburg) Subsequently, all participants take part in a joint course on Language Analysis, given by Elen le Foll (University of Cologne). Application Deadline is June 18th. The Summer School will take place on site in Cologne.
