Subject: CFP: Pedagogy SIG Panel at DH2024

The Pedagogy and Training Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Association of
Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) will sponsor a guaranteed, in-person
session on pedagogy and generative AI at the 2024 Digital Humanities Conference
in Washington, DC. The 90-minute session will be part of the academic program
and will feature a panel discussion of 4-6 presenters, who will each speak
briefly about how they have integrated generative AI into their teaching. The
remainder of the session will be dedicated to discussion among the panelists and
the session’s audience.

We invite short proposals for the panel. Please send the following to
brian.croxall@byu.edu by 16 February 2024:
Your name
Your institution
Approximately 200 words that describe how you have integrated generative AI into
your teaching and/or that articulates an argument about generative AI in
connection with digital humanities pedagogy and training
Optionally, if you think it will help in evaluating your proposal, include an
assignment, lesson plan, or other activity that focuses on generative AI

To represent the diversity of approaches to DH, the Pedagogy and Training SIG
welcomes proposals from around the world, especially from those for whom English
is not a first language.

Proposals will be evaluated by the SIG conveners, Brian Croxall, Diane Jakacki,
Walter Scholger, and Ray Siemens. We will respond by 1 March 2024.
