Subject: Elite tenure track Assistant Professorship at DIAS, SDU

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to ask you to please share with potential applicants the
following job announcement for an elite Assistant Professorship
<https://fa-eosd-saasfaprod1.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/da/sites/CX_1001/job/1304>
at the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS), University of
Southern Denmark, sponsored by my department, Department of Design,
Media and Educational Science. The position is within the area of
/Human-centered IT /and starts August 1^st 2024 or as soon as possible
thereafter.

The position is a tenure track position which runs for up to six years,
after which tenure will be offered subject to positive evaluations and
reviews. Because this is an elite position, teaching obligations are
reduced as compared to regular Asisstant Professorships, and there is
also opportunity to receive startup or seed funding from the department,
subject to negotiation in the hiring process.

DIAS is a research centre that aims to inspire groundbreaking ideas
across the sciences and humanities. DIAS is particularly committed to
the development and promotion of young researchers of exceptional
talent. At present, DIAS is home to 17 DIAS Fellows from five faculties,
and the applicant will join this group. DIAS also comprises eminent
academics appointed as Chairs and Senior Fellows. DIAS offers an
interdisciplinary research environment where the selected candidate will
be able to interact with outstanding researchers from the five faculties
at University of Southern Denmark as well as visiting researchers and
fellows.

The position is one of eight tenure track positions simultaneously
announced by DIAS. The other positions are sponsored by the other
Faculties at the University. For more information, see DIAS website
<https://www.sdu.dk/en/forskning/dias>.

Thank you in advance for your help.
