Dear Willard

Such sad news, and the comments by Manfred amd yourself, as well as Fabio’s
thoughtful and moving tribute are very welcome. Thanks also to Marinella for the
link to Dino’s lecture. He was one of many Italian scholars who have had an
important role in shaping the discipline, not only in intellectual and practical
terms, but also of institution building, locally, nationally and
internationally.

Dino was not only a wonderful scholar but a generous and warm person, a man of
profound humanity, humility and wisdom. He will be very much missed by friends
and colleagues around the world. Each of us will have memories of Dino to
treasure.

Best wishes
Harold
