Subject: Research Fellow in Digital Humanities (linked open data) at Southampton, UK

The University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to
work on the AHRC funded project ‘Beyond Notability: Re-evaluating Women's
Work in Archaeology, History and Heritage, 1870 – 1950’.

The successful applicant will lead in investigating the potential of
innovative and experimental data analysis and visualisation to produce new
interpretations of complex historical biographical data. We would be
particularly interested in candidates who are active researchers in linked
open data, interactive data analysis, inclusive and/or justice-oriented
approaches to data presentation, and/or advancing data visualisation in a
humanities context.

This is an externally funded 12-month fixed term post, full-time equivalent
basis with the anticipated start date of 3 July 2023. Flexibility is
available in terms of work pattern, to be agreed between the hiring manager
and the successful applicant. Job share applicants will also be considered,
as will applicants seeking to carry out the full-time equivalent work on a
fractional basis between the agreed start date and 30 September 2024.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 29 March 2023.
