        Subject: The Under-Represented Writers Knowledge

Dear all,

This is Marco Stranisci, a PhD student in Computer Science from Italy.

I write this mail because for my doctorate I created a dataset of writers
and their works gathered from Wikipedia and other sources of knowledge. In
this resource, writers are clusterized as 'Transnational' or 'Western' on
the basis of their ethnic origins. Such categorization allows us to explore
the potential lack of representation of non-Western people in the digital

The dataset is available here: I
also prepared some predefined queries to let you explore it.

I think that such a dataset may be interesting for this community and I
also would like to improve it with your comments. For this reason I wonder
if you could provide feedback on the resource by replying to me or by
participating in a focus group *the 27th of October at 7pm (CEST)*.

If your interested in the focus group, please let me know by filling this
