        Subject: Modelling collections - 1 year fellowship in Venice

Dear digital humanists,

The application deadline for a 1 year fellowship in Venice on
"Modelling collections & documents of historical-artistic & literary
heritage" has been extended to 7 October 2022.

Desirable skills and competences:
- programming and markup languages (Python, C/C++, Java,
JavaScript, XML, XSL(T), XQuery, HTML, CSS);
- IIIF framework;
- Handwriting Text Recognition (HTR) and/or Optical Character Recognition

Tasks include:
- development of a model for a IIIF manifest to be adapted to the museum
collections of the Borghese Gallery in Rome and to digital textual editions;
- scientific paper;
- preparation of dissemination materials.

The salary is low compared to equivalent positions outside Italy: 19.367,00
EUR (incl. taxes and social charges).

Italian language and relocation to Venice is not required, only occasional
presence in Venice or Rome. The team members are gorgeous.
