Subject: [job] Researcher/Developer with TEI-XML background, Klassik Stiftung Weimar

Dear humanist list members, with apologies for cross-posting, I would
like to point your attention to this job posting by the Klassik Stiftung
Weimar:
https://jobs.b-ite.com/jobposting/6ae0e3ab1f42df08c5be1e5eff8756fd880877942.

The Klassik Stiftung is looking for a Digital Humanities and Data
Curation professional to work in the context of three related projects,
e.g. the /Digitale Forum/, /Goethe LYRIK/, and /PROPYLÄEN –
Forschungsplattform zu Goethes Biographica/. The candidate should be
familiar with (TEI-)XML, have experience in semantic annotation of
research data, its transformation, integration and publication.
Preferred programming languages include Python, JavaScript, PHP or Perl;
knowledge in Java, Scala, Clojure or C# will be advantageous.

The term will run for 2 years, with an option to extend. The the
long-term project /Goethes Biographica/, https://goethe-biographica.de/,
has an estimated running time until 2039, and is one of the biggest
projects within German Academies Program (cf.
https://agate.academy/id/PR.15).

Please apply if until August 31 if you are interested, and spread the
word among your colleagues!

Best wishes, Christian Thomas

—
/NB/: The vacancy text is in German, and a fairly good command of German
is indeed required, e.g. to transform syntactic markup from
retro-digitised print volumes into semantic markup efficiently.
