Humanist Discussion Group, Vol. 35, No. 677. Department of Digital Humanities, University of Cologne Hosted by DH-Cologne www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2022-05-02 07:57:26+00:00 From: Willard McCarty <willard.mccarty@mccarty.org.uk> Subject: the interdisciplinarian's friend When I was subject to the winds of decanal judgment, I'd hear much from those even more thus subject about the inadvisiability of publishing in and, by implication, depending on edited collections. My consistent experience as a compulsively interdisciplinary explorer, however, has been that such collections (e.g. the one whose editors are in a previous message today advertising for submissions) are an invaluable aid to scholarship, particularly the adventurous kind that strays beyond bounds. What is your experience? Yours, WM -- Willard McCarty, Professor emeritus, King's College London; Editor, Interdisciplinary Science Reviews; Humanist www.mccarty.org.uk _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted List posts to: humanist@dhhumanist.org List info and archives at at: http://dhhumanist.org Listmember interface at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted/ Subscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/membership_form.php
