Department of Digital Humanities, University of Cologne Hosted by DH-Cologne www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2022-03-08 06:15:49+00:00 From: Jennifer Ross <jennifern.ross@utoronto.ca> Subject: FT Interdisciplinary Postdoc Position, University of Toronto Mississauga Dear Colleagues, I wanted to pass along a fulltime postdoc opportunity at the University of Toronto Mississauga that may be of interest for interdisciplinary and/or STS digital humanists. The Failure: Learning in Progress research team is exploring how students can overcome challenges in learning to embrace and learn from failure. The incoming postdoc will be involved in all aspects of the research process, including data analysis, conference presentations and co-authorship, and design of pedagogical materials to support instructors seeking to incorporate guided experiences of struggle and failure in the classroom. The PIs are particularly interested in applicants with strong data analysis and writing skills. Funding for the project comes from the Biology department, but the team is highly interdisciplinary, with members from the departments of religion, geography, American Studies, and communications. Full call is attached. Deadline to apply is March 31. For questions about the position, reach out to Dr. Nicole Laliberte at nicole.laliberte@utoronto.ca (use the subject line: UTM PostDoc Learning through Failure). Feel free to circulate widely!
