Humanist Discussion Group, Vol. 35, No. 507. Department of Digital Humanities, University of Cologne Hosted by DH-Cologne www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2022-01-31 12:43:24+00:00 From: Arthur Perret <arthur.perret@u-bordeaux-montaigne.fr> Subject: Cosma, a visualization tool for academic Zettelkasten Dear Humanist members, I am pleased to share with you the release of Cosma v1.1. Cosma is a hypertext visualization tool which was initially released only in French. As of v1.1, it is now available in English. https://cosma.graphlab.fr/en/ Cosma is a visualization tool for academic “Zettelkasten” (a documentation method inspired from Niklas Luhmann's card-based note-taking system). Paired with a note-taking application such as Zettlr, Cosma helps navigate through interlinked notes, providing features such as categories-based filters and contextualized backlinks, in an easy-to-share format. Cosma is designed for people who work with knowledge, from doctoral students and university professors, to librarians and journalists. It can be used to visualize and share collections of any size, from small glossaries to vast personal wikis. Cosma was initially funded by the HyperOtlet research programme (2017-2022) through a grant of France's Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR). It is an experimental project, part of my doctoral research. Feedback is very much welcome.
