        Subject: Job: Research assistant at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Science and Technology Research (IZWT) at Wuppertal University, Germany

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Science and Technology Research (IZWT)
is seeking a research assistant (f/m) at 50% of the standard working
time to start as soon as possible and Job to stay for 3 years (German
Pay scale group: E 13 TV-L).

Requirements for employment:
-       above-average graduation from a university (M.A. or similar) in
History of Art or History of Science, preferably with focus on the Early
Modern period, or in Mathematics, preferably with focus on History
and/or Philosophy of Mathematics
-       English skills on a very high level
-       teamwork
-       willingness to work interdisciplinarily
-       willingness to get a doctorate
Tasks:
-       actively assisting with research projects of the chair of History of
Science and Technology
-       directing your own research project in the course of your doctorate
-       assisting with forming and developing the profile of the chair
-       actively assisting with acquiring research grants
-       teaching duties of one course per semester in History of Science

The position shall support doctorates and qualify its holder
respectively in accordance with the law
(Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetzes (WissZeitVG)). It shall last for the
time of the dissertation which is planned for 3 years at first but might
be prolonged in order to enable graduation (within legal boundaries).
