"Documents and Documentation : Retro-prospective approach", Paris. 19-20th november (33) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2020-05-20 07:08:34+00:00 From: Marco Sartor Subject: CFP International day of study "Intersections. New perspectives for public humanities" Dear colleagues, with apologies for cross-posting, I contact you to report the call for papers for the international day of study "Intersections. New perspectives for public humanities" (HFC-INT 2020), which will take place in Venice and online on Thursday, December 3, 2020 (but speakers from abroad can connect online directly from their homes). The international network Humanities for Change (www.humanitiesforchange.org) in accordance with the interdisciplinary spirit and the contaminatory approach that characterize its activities, intends to organize a day of study on the theme of public humanities. The meeting aims to stimulate some reflections coming from different fields of knowledge and to encourage the dialogue between researchers on the possibilities of the humanities to escape from academic circles. In this sense, the main object of study is the analysis of methodologies and tools related to knowledge dissemination practices for historical, artistic and philological-literary disciplines. Particular attention will also be given to new professional figures connected to the degree courses of the humanities faculties (such as the 'public historian') and to the interactions of these professional figures with the new media of communication and mass dissemination. You can find all the full information about the event on the page of the international platform Calenda (https://calenda.org/778611), from which you can also download the .pdf of the CFP in Italian or English or visit the web page of the event. The study day is sponsored by the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) of Ca' Foscari University in Venice (www.unive.it/vedph) The deadline for submitting proposals for participation is Friday 29 May 2020. The proceedings will be published in a scientific journal. I would be very grateful if you could share with any colleagues that could be interested. "Documents and Documentation : Retro-prospective approach", Paris. 19-20th november Dear all, We would like to get your attention on a call for proposal that we wish to distribute widely. It is a symposium organized as part of the research project HyperOtlet (supported by the French Agency of Research ANR), led by Bertrand Müller (CNRS) and Olivier Le Deuff (MICA). This International symposium, untitled «Documents and Documentation : Retro-prospective approach» will be held the 19th and 20th of november at the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Paris Nord. Through a multidisciplinary approach (Information and communication sciences, History, arts, documentation), it will aim to question the documentary paradigm in the first part of the XXth century and its resurgences in the contemporary period, that we could describe as the «return of the document». We will give priority to three line of research, which correspond to specific challenges linked to the concept of documentary paradigm : the form and materialities which result from technical and industrial innovations ; the renewal of methods to visualize knowledge ; and finally the articulation between places of knowledge and places of power. You will find the submission methods as well as the dates (postponed to June 30) in the call : https://hyperotlet.sciencesconf.org/ Regards, Olivier Le Deuff Olivier Le Deuff Assistant professor in information science Bordeaux Montaigne University +33687653127. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted List posts to: firstname.lastname@example.org List info and archives at at: http://dhhumanist.org Listmember interface at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted/ Subscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/membership_form.php
