Subject: Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities: Routledge promotion Dear Willard First may I add my congratulations and thanks with the passage of yet another Humanist year! Whether active participants or mainly readers (such as I am), we all are in your debt for the generosity of spirit that springs from your curatorial care - a great contribution to our field and to our intellectual lives. As some - or many - Humanist subscribers will know, along with Lorna Hughes, Andrew Prescott and Ray Siemens, I am a Series Editor for the Routledge series Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities. And we are delighted that we have now been joined by Isabel Galina Russell and Nirmala Menon! The series started in 2009, nine of the initial volumes born out of "expert seminars" organised as part of the AHRC Methods Network project (2005-2008). Last week the 38th volume in the series was published: Transformative Digital Humanities: Challenges and Opportunities, edited by Mary McAleer Balkun & Marta Mestrovic Deyrup. Publication of the 39th volume is imminent: Medieval Manuscripts in the Digital Age, edited by Benjamin Albritton, Georgia Henley & Elaine Treharne. For those that may not know, information about the series, including details of all the volumes so far published, is to be found at: https://www.routledge.com/Digital-Research-in-the-Arts-and-Humanities/book- series/DRAH All this is not, however, the main prompt for this message. It may be useful for Humanist readers to know about a "May Monograph Madness" promotion being offered by Routledge. There are 32 titles in the DRAH series which have been included in the promotion - essentially all those published up till 5 or 6 months ago. (Apparently there are 36,000+ titles all told). The promotion allows anyone to register and get free access to the e-books for 7 days. After this 7-day period, they can buy a copy of each title for £10/$15 (GBP/USD). Following is the list of DRAH titles included in the promotion, with a link for each to its promotion entry (grouped by year of publication): Interfaces of Performance: Maria Chatzichristodoulou, Janis Jefferies, Rachel Zerihan (Eds) (2009) https://tfstore.kortext.com/interfaces-of-performance-146751 Modern Methods for Musicology: Prospects, Proposals, and Realities: Tim Crawford, Lorna Gibson (Eds) (2009) https://tfstore.kortext.com/modern-methods-for-musicology-146311 Transferred Illusions: Digital Technology and the Forms of Print: Marilyn Deegan, Kathryn Sutherland (Eds) (2009) https://tfstore.kortext.com/transferred-illusions-148844 What's in a Word-list?
