Subject: TSHD Digital Humanities Symposium TSHD Digital Humanities Symposium Call for Abstracts On June 24 and 25, 2020, the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (TSHD) at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, organizes a two-day Digital Humanities Symposium. This workshop brings together scholars from a range of disciplines, including Philosophy, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cultural, Literary and Media Studies, Communication and Information Sciences, and Cognitive Science. How do we bring the Humanities together with digital tools, methods, and epistemologies? Together, we will reflect on practical and theoretical issues regarding the ways that digitalization and datafication are transforming our fields. Keynotes - Susan Aasman (University of Groningen) - Marieke van Erp (Digital Humanities Lab KNAW) - Eric Postma (Tilburg University). Confirmed invited speakers include Lucy Chateau (Tilburg University), Iris Hendrickx (Radboud University), Mike Kestemont (Antwerp University), and Bruce Mutsvairo (Auburn University). In addition, the symposium will host two introductory workshops on text mining and issue mapping. Submission guidelines We welcome abstracts and poster proposals (300-500 words) about any topic related to the theme of the symposium. Please submit your document suitable for blind review.
