Subject: RE: Welcome to Humanist
Thank you for the welcome message and hello to the List! I've
recently received my doctorate in the Humanities from the University
of Texas at Dallas after designing and selling standby industrial
power systems in the international markets for twenty years. I did
my dissertation on the assessment of visual rhetoric, and I am
especially interested in the response of the rhetoric/composition
field to the natural language applications that have made possible
machine reading of student essays. I am an Assistant Professor of
English at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and I am
looking forward to reading the posts/concerns from this list.
Best to all,
Tom Ferstle
