Subject: Conference on Knowledge Organization and Digital Resources
The 8th International Conference of the International Society
for Knowledge Organization (ISKO) will be hosted by the
School of Library, Archive and Information Studies,
University College London on 13 to 16 July 2004.
The theme of the conference is: Knowledge Organization and
the Global Information Society, and the keynote address will
be delivered by Clifford Lynch, Executive Director, Coalition for
Networked Information.
This conference brings together experts in conventional and
new methodologies for the classification of knowledge and the
construction of ontologies and taxonomies, and examines
how these techniques can be used for access and retrieval
of digital collections.
