Subject: Film/slide/microfilm scanners?
Dear Humanists,
My small research group has received ca. $10,000 US to purchase a
film/slide/microfilm scanner, which should ideally produce publication
quality results in monochrome or colour.
We've got a few leads, but would welcome advice as to what the best purchase
might be. While there are some products specially made for the task (i.e.
the Canon MS 400), their output resolution is not up to spec, and operate
only in monochrome.
I'd appreciate any suggestions -- on or off the list -- and will be happy to
post a summary in short while.
Thanks in advance,
Ray
