               Subject: ISPs for the traveller?

    I would greatly appreciate recommendations for cost-effective ISPs who
    provide a good coverage of local numbers world-wide and a minimum of
    frills. All I need is the connection, not yet another e-mail account and
    megabytes of Web space. I intend to use a Palm Vx with a Palm modem for
    basic e-mail and minimal Web browsing, so high-speed connections are not
    important. A service that did not demand a subscription, and so a monthly
    charge, would be best.
