I'm not all that familiar with Magellan, but DTSearch does much and maybe
all of this (haven't tried it on zip files). A shareware version is
available at www.dtsearch.com. I'm just a satisfied customer.

grep (unix) and its dos equivalents should do the job. There may even be a
