Chris,

Regarding Croquet, have they actually written the code that allows
Word (or another office app) to be pulled into the environment? Last
time I saw it, there was a mock up of using word in the croquet
environment, but no actual code yet. It was about 9 months ago.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi,

I would like to also put forth our own ImaNote
tool developed at the Media Lab Helsinki.

ImaNote
<http://imanote.uiah.fi/about>http://imanote.uiah.fi/about

The tool allows for different groups of
researchers to annotate maps and images. The tool
was originally developed for use in the
Digital Facsimile of the Map of Mexico 1550 project.

Project website
<http://cipher.uiah.fi/mexico_new/>http://cipher.uiah.fi/mexico_new/

Tool application
<http://systems-of-representation.uiah.fi/map_of_mexico/mapview/mom2>http://systems-of-representation.uiah.fi/map_of_mexico/mapview/mom2

The tool is now also being tested for use to
gather commentaries from users in museum
exhibitions. The approach is being developed by
Mariana Salgado who is a doctoral student in the Lab:

Museums and the Web 2006
<http://www.archimuse.com/mw2006/papers/salgado/salgado.html>http://www.archimuse.com/mw2006/papers/salgado/salgado.html

We are on the lookout for partners who are
interested in using it as well as working with us in similar projects.

Best regards,

Lily
