Dear all,

The History Department at Stanford University and the Library have an
open position for a joint DH staff position:
https://careersearch.stanford.edu/jobs/academic-technology-specialist-15723

The job is focused on providing hands-on support for faculty and student
DH projects, as well as teaching courses on DH methods. I have the
equivalent job in the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages,
and for someone who enjoys new challenges, working on lots of different
projects, and mentoring grad students, it’s an amazing position.

I wrote up a blog post the last time we had the job open:

might-too

And an updated one specifically about this posting:
https://digitalhumanities.stanford.edu/ats-revisited-i-still-love-my-job-
after-3-years-and-you-might-too

I’d love to talk with anyone who’s thinking about applying for it or
answer any questions you may have — feel free to reach out directly!

Take care,
Quinn

Subject: Two new CDHI Postdoctoral Fellowships in Community Data, University of Toronto (2022-24)

Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce a new postdoctoral fellowship program,
sponsored by the Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI) at the
University of Toronto. I hope you will share with your students,
colleagues, and networks.

CDHI Postdoctoral Fellowship in Community Data (2022-24)

Created in collaboration with the iSchool, UTSC, and the Council on
Library & Information Resources (CLIR), the CDHI Postdoctoral Fellowship
Program in Community Data will support two interdisciplinary
postdoctoral fellows for two academic years, 2022-24. One fellow will be
affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Information
(iSchool). One fellow will be affiliated with University of Toronto
Scarborough (UTSC). We hope you will help us spread the word about this
exciting new opportunity among your networks.

In the context of this fellowship program, we define community data
broadly to include projects that enact equitable, future-focused
strategies of preserving data related to the histories of people of
colour, Indigenous peoples, and queer, disabled, or other communities
whose work, experiences, and perspectives have been insufficiently
recognized or inequitably attended to in historical records.

The fellowships are full-time, two-year positions. Fellows will receive
a salary of $70,000/year, which includes teaching one undergraduate half
course (0.5 FCE) for the iSchool or UTSC in each of the two years.
Applications are open now and close on 01 March 2022.

For a complete job description of each position, including fellowship
responsibilities and expectations, mentorship and professional
development opportunities, eligibility, and application instructions,

Mamers (d.taschereau@utoronto.ca), with any enquiries.
